Kevin - great dream - and not so impossible. I think that finding your right environment is key to a stellar North Star journey. Even on a small scale, crafting your space is really important. For example, moving the bookshelf closer to your bed might encourage more reading. Having a pen and a blank journal on your bedside table may inspire late night writing. Finding your favorite coffee shop and camping out there while you catch up on projects or to just relax and soak in the world around you. Planning a trip to a place that inspires you. Moving to that place. My family is a "journey family." We keep roving the planet finding new places to inspire the next chapter. New Zealand, Argentina, England, Canada, USA. I feel a strong connection to Italy and could imagine that being a place I move to for awhile. I love the way of life there. The sense of community, the respect of design and art, the feasts, and the history. They also have some great approaches to education. Lots to explore! Ciao!

That's easy... Working as a teacher or administrator for a small school district located in a beach community near a college or university. I lived and worked in Santa Barbara, California and seriously miss waking up before dawn to surf glassy waves with my friends before starting the work day.

Terry, great thoughts. Thanks for sharing. You are right... dreams float... they change...

We have to be comfortable with that fact. We sometimes experience an intense interest in something - but given time - it fades away. I am sure the experience serves a purpose. All part of the journey. Finding places along the way that give us inspiration, that remind us of where we don't want to be, and where we want to be.

Growing up makes you stuck in a mindset. Who wants that?

I know how I would answer about my dream job....because dreams can change. Somedays I want to be the master music teacher who delights in the pleasures of beautiful music. Somedays I want to be the one the students come to with problems. Somedays I want to be the college instructor that inspires future teachers into seeing the possibilities for what technology can do in classrooms and kids. Somedays I can be it all. Dreams float...like when you were a kid, you changed what you want to be every day....still happens for me.
