Thanks for the post, Paul - bravo for fanning the NSCoP flame! Yay! : )

Welcome, Marli! Wonderful to have you onboard - and great suggestions.!

It certainly has been quite a journey for the North Star Community of Practice so far, and almost a year since Paul earned his Master's degree from Pepperdine (which is what got the NSCoP ball rolling in the first place) - congratulations, Paul! Woohooo! : )

Although this site has hit some snags along the way, I know its unflappable spirit is still very much alive, and I'm thrilled to think about it becoming more active again. There is so much to be shared here among our community's members, and so much I know we can learn from each other.

I personally loved the message board/forum featured in the original NSCoP site. Even early on, the message board was already starting to inspire and engage rich community sharing and conversation. I'd like to see a forum like that added back to the NSCoP site (though I understand why it had to be shut down : ( ). However, until then, enabling blogging privileges for "founding members" sounds like a fabulous solution. I'm hoping that will evoke more sharing and conversation. I look forward to hearing how and what all the other members have been doing lately around The North Star message, themes, and appraoch.

Here's to keeping the North Star spirit alive - all around the world! : )

Hi Paul - and hi everyone else!

I'm excited to be a part of this community, and I'd like to second Paul's request for suggestions - what would you like to see added?

Here are a few of my ideas:
-posting more questions, more often (I have quite a few I'd like to ask)!
-I'll be asking for North Star and learner centered lesson plan suggestions every so often.
-linking to interesting education articles. I love finding what's out there that I may have missed.

Til next time,
Marli
